Surabhi

Surabhi is a platform to explore and exhibit latent talents in young women. Girls living with parents are fortunate to get the necessary attention to pave way for the identification of their unexplored talents. It is seldom possible in the Ashrama. Hence we are evolving a system wherein we explore the talents latent in the residents. The elders in the Ashrama closely watch the residents while they are performing in any program. This enables the Ashrama elders to learn about the resident's talents and arrange to train them in the art. We have arrangements to train them in music, acting, Yakshagana, anchoring, yoga, karate, mime,...etc.

Soubhagya

The Ashram has a center for facilitating job-placement for needy women and girls. Abalashrama conducts job fairs regularly because it is a unique networking opportunity that puts many different employers under one roof to network with potential employees, usually over just one day. Job fairs can put participants on the fast-track to gaining a job, help companies fill vacancies and solve workforce issues in the community. To organize a successful job fair, one has to cater to both the job seeker and the company looking for prospective employees. Soubhagya is an initiative of Abalashrama under the employability programs. Through this Centre, we hope to contribute to the efforts of the National Skill Development Mission and we aim to provide a meeting ground for industry requirements and the aspirations of unemployed youth. We urge people to spread awareness about this program so that more candidates can benefit from it.

Santvana

Counseling has been a part of Ashram's day-to-day affair. Its role was restricted to minimum conversation with the guidance to the residents. It was when new blood was infused into the Ashram's administration, counseling became a little formal with enlarged scope. At that time a few Governing council members undertook a course in "Counselling and Guidance" organized by Prasanna Counselling Centre run by HINDU SEVA PRATHISHTANA. It was useful in understanding and handling the residents. It was when the new well-planned building was completed and dedicated 2 rooms were made available for Counselling, a formal center started functioning. This was an initiative of Abalashrama and was named 'SANTVANA' meaning Solace. Many counselors from Hindu Seva Prathishtana and other volunteers pitched in to offer counseling services.

Souharda

The Ashrama manages a full-fledged marriage facilitating center for orphaned, handicapped and destitute girls. The center is for anyone who finds it difficult to get married including boys (Grooms). After the resident finishes studies and is ready for marriage the Ashrama takes the responsibility of finding a suitable groom for her. We try to "Groom" her by talking to her, by counseling her and finally, preparing her mind to accept family life. The first and foremost factor the Ashrama scrutinizes is the personality of the prospective groom concerned. Then the character of the groom will have to be vouched by the most reliable (relative/family friends) well-wisher of the bride’s family or verified diligently by the parents themselves. Abalashrama has conducted scores of marriages to date. The President/Secretary of the institution shall perform kanyadaan and the marriage is conducted as per Arya Samaj rituals by default. We try to make the Groom understand that he will hold the girl's
